Bars with Extended Last Call in Halifax
If you’ve been around the block a few times, you know that last call tends to be a fairly uniform kind of thing. As in, it stays the same across a city or region.
Not so in Halifax where a funky “cabaret license” means that certain bars get to stay open until 3:30 am — a full 1.5 hours later than normal last call.
Here are the bars with extended last call in Halifax:
TOOTHY MOOSE CABARET
Self-declared to be “THE OG Cabaret,” Tooth Moose is open Thurs-Sun until 4 am.
Find fluorescent lights, a packed dance floor, rowdy DJs and an abundance of party animals ready to stay out way past their bedtimes.
If Snoop Dogg showed up earlier this year, it must be a good time.
THE DOME
A buzzy nightclub open only Friday and Saturday nights until 3:30 am, The Dome offers up cheap drinks alongside flashing lights to get the party going.
Expect a younger demographic — think university kids — and lots of energy.
THE ALEHOUSE
More a pub-like setting than an actual club, the Alehouse prides itself on its live music — think feel-good tunes and cover bands — that runs from 12am-3:30 am on weekends.
Set in a historic building from 1893, you can expect a rowdy time, a busy dance floor, and lots of sing-a-longs.
That being said, there is some controversy surrounding The Alehouse, particularly when it comes to their bouncers, so make sure you’re keeping your eyes open as you enjoy the night.
HIDE + SEEK
Hide + Seek is yet another club that promises more fluorescent lights and vibrant dance floors alongside a VIP service area and cocktail menu.
They’re also open until 3:30 am Friday and Saturday for all your late night partying needs.
Have fun and stay safe out there.
