On November 20, Scions will debut their album To Cry Out In The Wilderness with a live performance at St. George’s Round Church in K'jipuktuk/Halifax - where the album was also recorded.
Scions, a collaboration born in 2022, brings together members of New Hermitage, Joyful Joyful, and composer Michael Cloud Duguay. To Cry Out In The Wilderness was crafted during a residency at Hotel Wolfe Island and recorded with site-specific production techniques that highlight the acoustic qualities of St. George’s.
This concert marks a unique opportunity to see the band perform the album in the very place it was created.
The evening will begin with an opening set of improvised music featuring Meghan Gilhespy, Nicola Miller, and Jay Crocker.
