Basic Income Nova Scotia's 6th Conference: Confronting the Challenges

  • Halifax Central Library 5440 Spring Garden Road Halifax, NS, B3J 1E9 Canada (map)

Welcome to Basic Income Nova Scotia Society's 6th Annual Conference: Confronting the Challenges! Join us at the Paul O’Regan Hall of the Halifax Central Library for a day filled with insightful panel discussions, engaging workshops, free lunch, a film, and networking opportunities. This in-person event with a Zoom option is a great chance to connect with like-minded individuals passionate about advocating for basic income in our province and for those who are curious to learn more about a Basic Income Guarantee (BIG), its benefits, and how it might work in practice. Presentations will include basic Income and how it can improve housing and food security, forging a path forward to implementation at a national and provincial level, and what you can do to help. We will also be showing A Human Picture, a movie about the Ontario pilot project which was cut short before completion. See you there!

We will have gluten-free and vegan options available for lunch.
