How To Get To Halifax Stanfield Airport Without a Car: A Brief Primer
Halifax Stanfield Airport has its perks (for one, it isn’t Pearson). That being said, it is a good 35 km from downtown and can be hard to access.
Here’s how to get to Halifax Stanfield Airport without a car:

HALIFAX TRANSIT REGIONAL EXPRESS 320/ FALL RIVER BUS
Public transit is by far the cheapest option available. Coming in at a cool $4.75 for adults/students ($3.25 for seniors/children), this is the move if you’re on a budget.
Jump on the bus in Halifax at Scotia Square (Duke + Albermarle) or the Bridge Terminal (Bay 10) in Dartmouth. You’ll then pass through Fall River on the way to the airport for a total travel time of roughly an hour if things go according to schedule.
Mon-Fri, buses run from 4:40 am - 11 pm ish, and you’re looking at departures every 30 min to 1 hr depending on the time of day.
Sat-Sun, buses run from 4:40 am - 11 pm ish once again, and you’re looking at buses running about every hour.

MARITIME BUS
The Maritime Bus runs from the Maritime Bus Halifax Terminal to the airport twice daily at 12 pm and 3 pm. While it costs roughly $17, travel time is estimated to be 45-50 min, making it slightly faster than the bus and a potential alternative.
Tickets must be purchased ahead of time and can be booked online here:

SHUTTLE SERVICE
Driver Dave’s offers shuttle rides to the airport that can work out in your favour, particularly if you’re going in a group. Shuttle bookings are $44 per person, $30 per person for a pair, and then $23 per person for groups of three or more.
They also do private car service.

TAXI/ LIMO
There’s a fair jump up to taxi and limo service fares, but companies including Casino Taxi, 48 Airport Taxi + Limo Services, Halifax Airport Taxi Limo, etc. do offer fixed rates to and from the airport.
These flat rates should be in the low-to-mid $60s range, so this could be a good option depending on the time of day and surge pricing with rideshare companies.

UBER or LYFT
When all else fails, Uber and Lyft are always there waiting. Rates seem to also hover around the low $60s range and should take about 40 min but, of course, surge pricing can always be a tricky factor.
Best of luck getting to those flights on time.
